Fun Facts
During my free time I'm usually watching anime, reading novels, or just sleeping-in to be honest haha. I've been in GA all my life and right now I'm living with my dog and learning how to cook in my own apartment. At the moment my favorite food is stir-fried noodles and my favorite color is pink. I also like politics, fashion, hanging out with friends, and watching surgeries online! I tend to clean/organize when I'm nervous or sad and one day I want learn how to sew and design my own clothes.
About Me
My name is Aniqa, I'm a 24 y/o grad student, medical assistant, and a future doctor! Right now I'm working on my Masters in Molecular Medicine, but 2 yrs ago I finished my Bachelors in Biology and in 2 more yrs I should hopefully be starting medical school! In the meantime, I've been working as a medical assistant where I learned clinical skills (like drawing blood, giving injections, taking X-rays, etc) and, more importantly, helped me learn how to respectfully treat and talk to real patients.
Experience
Besides casually tutoring my friends and neighbors through out highschool, I actually had my first job as a tutor. I worked at a private international company, called Kumon, teaching math and reading.
Then I became an after-school teacher where I taught a fun, explorative, and challenging science/technology curriculum.
Working at Frog allows me to continue teaching (something I'm great at) while pursuing my own rigorous career!
Approach
I was considered a 'gifted' student in elementary/middle school, so I enrolled into an advanced math/sci highschool but suddenly found myself failing and falling behind. As a fellow student I understand how hard it is to just sit down and Concentrate + Process + Apply confusing new concepts, and if a student is struggling then it's because they . I call this the 3 step learning process

Biology
Biology I Tutoring
I took the Biology I course myself a couple years ago and made an A.
We'll go over metabolism (glycolysis, cellular respiration, and photosynthesis), cellular anatomy and physiology, cellular reproduction, basic genetics, and basic chemistry.
Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring
I took Anatomy and Physiology in college and high school, and I made an A both times.
We'll go over the Integumentary, Nervous, Skeletal/Muscular, and Endocrine Systems.
The subject is extremely interesting just a lot of work and extensive vocabulary, but I can help with that!
Biology II Tutoring
Took this class myself a couple years back and made an A.
We'll go over LOTS of phylogeny (species classification, characteristics, and reproductive life cycles), as well as more basic genetics, and a bit of ecology.
Lots of vocabulary in this course but practice with me makes perfect.
Chemistry I Tutoring
Took this class myself a couple years ago and made an A.
My sessions will help you prepare for the ACS Exam as well as your class.
We'll go over practice problems and concept questions for quantum mechanics, electronegativity, hybridization, drawing lewis structures, bonding rules, ionization, etc.
Chemistry II Tutoring
Took this class myself a couple years ago and made an A.
My sessions will help you prepare for the ACS Exam as well as your class. We'll go over concept questions and practice calculations for inter/intra molecular forces, ideal gasses, boiling/freezing points, Heat of Fusion/Vaporization, enthalpy, entropy, Gibb's free energy, reaction rates, etc.
This class has LOTS of calculations but don't worry I'll help with that.
College Algebra Tutoring
College Algebra is no sweat, we'll do practice problems until you're great at calculating quadratic formula, compound and simple interest formulas, factoring, inequalities, distance and midpoint formulas, point/intercept/slope formulas, and LOTS of graphing functions.
English Tutoring
I took English I & II myself just a few years ago and got A's both times. I've found these classes are very subjective per professor so please bring course schedules to help me direct our sessions.
Generally of course we'll practice persuasive, descriptive, narrative, and expository writing, as well as how to help set up essays, grammar, and light vocabulary.
Environmental Science Tutoring
I took AP environmental and got an A in this really fun class.
We'll go over lots of ecology, types of species interactions, [non]renewable energy sources, different types of trophisms, causes/prevention/solutions to pollution, etc.
I'm really passionate about environmental engineering so trust me we'll have fun as I help you study for this course.
History Tutoring
I took this course myself a couple years ago and made an A. College history is very broad so please specify the course aka the type of history your professor will teach.
I got A's in my high school AP history courses as well so I'm knowledgable over Georgia history/government, American history/government, and even World history.
Microbiology Tutoring
I just took this class and made an A. This course is very interesting, we'll go over cell structure, metabolism, DNA expression for prokaryotes and eukaryotes, as well as microscopy, virus taxonomy/structure/replication, archea, protists, fungi, environmental microbiology, and DISEASES!
Organic Chemistry I Tutoring
This course is extremely difficult but I just took it myself and am now studying organic chem II, so the material is fresh in my head. We'll go over fundamentals, resonance structures, functional groups, Sn1/Sn2/E1/E2 reactions, synthesis/reactions/mechanisms/reagents for alkenes, alkynes, alkanes, alcohols, [alkyl] halides, addition/substitution/elimination reactions, how to name molecules etc.
This class isn't hard as long as we practice a lot!! So don't worry!
Psychology Tutoring
I took this course myself a couple years back and had so much fun; with my help this course will be an easy A for you.
We'll go over brain anatomy and physiology, prominent psychologists like Sigmund Freud, Hierarchy of Needs, personality theories, mental disorders, behavior theories, defense mechanisms, etc.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
Reading comprehension is critical for test taking and academics but also useful in everyday life. Together we'll strengthen your ability to accurately analyze text and extract useful information from pieces of literature, articles, essays, etc. We'll also work on increasing your speed of comprehension.
Physics II Tutoring
I just took this course and got an A.
For this course we'll go over concept questions and calculations for electricity, magnetism, waves, light, conductors, etc.
This class isn't difficult as long as we practice because there's a lot of math especially for electromagnetism.
The course is interesting though because you'll start noticing that you experience these things in your daily life.
Trigonometry Tutoring
Trigonometry is like a condensed version of precalculus. We'll go over practice problems for the pythagorean theorem, how to use sin/cos/tan and their inverse functions to solve word problems, calculating angles, using degrees vs radians, and the UNIT CIRCLE,
AP Chemistry Tutoring
Took this class myself and made an A.
My sessions will help you prepare for the AP exam as well as the ACS exam if your school requires it.
We'll go over practice problems and concept questions for quantum mechanics, electronegativity, hybridization, drawing lewis structures, bonding rules, ionization, enthalpy, entropy, states of matter calculations, Gibb's Free Energy, etc.
Physics I Tutoring
I took this course a year ago and got an A.
For this course we'll go over concept questions and calculations for velocity, scalar quantities, Newton's Three Laws, volume, tension, weight/mass, torque, speed, distance, projectile motion, and oscillations.
This class isn't difficult as long as we practice all the math.
The course is interesting though because you'll start noticing that you experience these things in your daily life.
