Fun Facts
I'm very passionate about learning about and studying the world--it's my dream to travel to all the continents and eventually start a nonprofit the deals with human rights in the Middle East. As the oldest of five (with the youngest being only 1!), I love kids. From a young age I've always enjoyed writing, and I even started writing my own novels in middle school and throughout high school.
About Me
I'm a sophomore International Affairs and Middle Eastern Studies double major at washington-university">George washington-university">Washington University, with a minor in Geography. My major is currently a 3.55. After college, I plan to get involved in nonprofit work abroad, and one day I hope to start my own nonprofit. I hope to eventually get a Masters or PhD in International Affairs or Geography.
As the President of my National Honor Society in high school, I was in charge of arranging washington-dc">tutors for our high school and occasionally providing washington-dc">tutoring myself in my subjects of expertise. Although I've never been involved in any washington-dc">tutoring through a company, I helped relatives throughout high school when they were struggling in subjects that I could assist them in, and I was always happy to do so.
I believe that helping one-on-one in a subject that a student is struggling in is key to success in that subject. I'm very patient and would encourage questions to be the key thing in washington-dc">tutoring sessions, in order to gauge the best way to approach assisting the student. I'm a firm believer that practice makes perfect, and so I would approach washington-dc">tutoring with the mentality that creating assignments and walking through them step by step, repeatedly and pinpointing the difficult points, is the best way to help students learn.
