Spanish I Tutoring

I took 4 years of Spanish in high school and am currently in my second semester of Spanish in college. I also spent the summer in Nicaragua where I attended part time language school and was required to use a lot of conversational Spanish.

Algebra Tutoring

I have taken math courses every year of school and done well. I consistently tutored my younger neighbor in math for 3 years and he constant improvement. My major requires a lot of basic math knowledge. I have tutored in elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry.

Biology Tutoring

I am in my second year as an undergraduate health sciences major. I worked in a biology research lab my senior year of high school. I have taken multiple chemistry and biology courses as well as high school physics, anatomy, and physiology.

English Tutoring

I received a 35/36 on the English section of my ACT. I was also very successful in all of my high school English courses. I have helped other students improve their English sections on the ACT as well as tutored peers in classes.

Geography Tutoring

I took geography courses in middle and high school. I also took international studies last semester where we were required to be able to identify every country and their locations.

I made a 31/36 on the reading comprehension section of my timed ACT. I took English classes every year of high school that worked intensely on reading comprehension. I also have been tutoring my 16 year old brother on improving his reading skills as well.

I have worked very hard to have organized study skills. I took a course in high school and always look to find what works best for me. I work with my peers on their study skills as well as underclassmen.

I have taken piano lessons since I was 5 years old. I taught piano to elementary age students through all of high school and even helped one audition and be accepted to the performing arts high school I attended. I have a lot of experience in playing piano as well as the theory aspects and some composition.

Voice (Music) Tutoring

I attended a performing arts high school, where I majored in vocal music. I have taken voice lessons since elementary school and competed at state vocal competition, receiving the highest ratings my junior and senior years of high school. For 3 years, I taught voice to elementary school students as part of my community service program at school.
