Fun Facts
I was born and raised in Philadelphia, speak Spanish, and for as long as I can remember I have always written, and surrounded myself with music. I write spoken work poetry, prose poetry, and short stories. I play the bass and piano and read and listen to all genres of books and music. I have one older brother who is currently in Mexico, and I went to boarding school for high school. I love eating and want to travel to as many countries as possible listening to their music and tasting their food.
About Me
I am a freshman Physics and English double major, Spanish minor. I am in the College of Arts and Sciences Honors Association; I am a Junior Resident Assistant; I am a tutor and member of Chango (Spanish and Latino club); I sing Soprano on the Community choir and help with the Chapel Program. I have a vast set of interests which makes it had for me to know what I am going to do with my degrees upon graduation, but for right not I will work hard and take advantage of every opportunity possible.
Experience
In high school I tutored an eighth grader once a week in what ever subject they felt necessary (for all four years). Although this is my only official experience with tutoring, I have tutored the children I babysat as well as my cousins (ranging form elementary school to high school). Currently I help my peers in Calculus, Physics and Spanish. I have always enjoyed teaching and tutoring, and I am considering going into this professional field. I would be honored to be a Frog Tutor.
Approach
I find it extremely frustrating when teachers are unable to cater to students learning style. Having information present4ed in a way that is difficult for you to understand does not mean you cannot learn the information just that the presentation of that info needs to be changed. As a tutor I will figure out and cater to the leaning style to works best for the student. Though the student will still be doing the had work of understanding what is presented I just try to make it easier.

Algebra Tutoring
I took Algebra 8th grade and Honors algebra 1 and 2 in high school. I use Algebra very often as I am a Physics major. I have tutored middle school, and high school students in Algebra, and I am currently helping peers in college.
