I am an open book and people often learn things about me quickly. One thing you might learn is that I am very passionate about helping people. I love making a positive difference in people’s lives. I also love animals and being out doors.
About Me
Currently I am a substitute teacher in Jefferson County. My ultimate goal would be to become a Social Studies teacher. I love history, and learning about different people and places. I love what we can learn from the past, as well as learning about different cultures.
Experience
I have earned my bachelors degree in history from Metropolitan State denver">University of Denver. I also have earned my Secondary Education teaching license in social studies. Teaching is a passion of mine and I love seeing that break through moment when a student finally gets it.
Approach
I feel that positivity and relatability help students make a break through in social studies. I provide a positive attitude and ask questions to help students think about things more in depth and on different levels. I think questioning and positive reinforcement help students make more in depth connections.

History
AP History Tutoring
My bachelors degree is in history. Some of my favorite classes were Early American History as well as Civil War history. I have experienced history at a collegiate level and can help students better prepare for content, exams, and connections.
Geography Tutoring
For my student teaching, I taught world geography. I created lesson plans and helped students make real world connections between things that they are interested in and geography. I am also very passionate about geography because place is the beginning about learning new cultures and people
Government Tutoring
One of my favorite classes in high school and college was government. I think it’s fascenating how all the moving parts work together to help make countries function. My degree is in history with a minor in secondary education. Taking and understanding different types of government was a requirement to graduate
History Tutoring
My degree is in history and I had to take classes from ancient civilization all the way through modern day. I graduated from Metropolitan State University with a 3.42 gpa. My knowledge and passion for history really transcends allowing me to better serve the student.
