Fun Facts

I came to the states 5 years ago from China when I was 17. I am the only child and I live in New York City by myself. I enjoy singing and Latin dance. I learned Latin dance for 3 years during my middle school and I hope I can attend a dance school one day.

About Me

I am currently a master student in Graduate School of Education in Fordham University. My major is bilingual school psychology and I earned a Bachelor degree of Theoretical Psychology in dickinson-university">Fairleigh Dickinson University. I will be a bilingual school psychologist after I graduate.

Experience

I had the experience of tutoring students one day per week in Mandarin during the senior year in the University. During each summer from 2012, I volunteered to be a teacher in all subject areas in Welfare homes in China. Working for Frog Tutoring gives me the opportunity to connect with more students from different age groups which is also benefit for my career of school psychology.

Approach

When I was in elementary school, I did not have any problem with school works, while I struggled in school after I entered middle school, especially for math. I was fortunate to have a teacher who offered extra time to be my tutor which saved me from my struggling and taught me a lot about how to be a good learner. As a tutor, I attempt to establish the confidence of learning for my students, and teach them how to be efficient on learning.
