Fun Facts
The opportunity to work as a tutor allows me to do what I enjoy doing most: motivating and inspiring children to want to learn. I am passionate about helping students improve in all subject areas. I am flexible to tutor any subject area for whatever you see deemed fit for me. One passion I embrace as a Montessori certified teacher each day is helping teachers and students by following the Montessori philosophy of teaching. Some of my interests: cooking, writing childrens books, and hiking.
About Me
I have learned through completing my Masters degree at UCONN in Educational Psychology, to teach a wide array of learning styles, obtain a deep understanding of child development, and how to best utilize teaching pedagogies. In my academic studies and 18 years of teaching experience, I have learned how to best differentiate instruction for children and adults to actively learn in meaningful ways.
Experience
My interest in tutoring is derived from wanting to be a part of making a positive difference in helping children. In my 12 years of tutoring elementary through high school students I have experienced multiple learning styles, different curriculums, and special needs plans. It is these diverse tutoring experiences that allow me to best adapt to each child.

It is very important to me to see children reach their highest educational goals, foster positive social and emotional development skills. MastersEnglish Tutoring
I have been teaching early childhood English for 13 years and have tutored for students up through High school in English for 12 years. I have taken many courses for my bachelors, teaching certification, and masters that are English based. I have received A's in all of these courses. Teaching English is a passion for me that I enjoy passing on to my students.
Homework Coach Tutoring
I have helped tutor various elementary and highschool students for 12 years to help them develop their academic skills. As a homework coach I have assisted children in helping them further understand skills being taught through homework. I have taken course work on helping develop good study skills in homework. As a homework coach I have also worked on helping children develop time management skills.
Elementary Math Tutoring
I have taught math for early childhood students for 13 years. I have experience tutoring elementary student's math for 10 years. I have received A's and high B's in all math instruction college level classes I have taken. I also teach stem curriculum at the school I work at. I enjoy making math a hands on enjoying experience to learn.
Religion Tutoring
I attend church and classes through church to learn more about religion. I have done children's programs through church to help develop the children's understanding of religion. I have not taken any formal college classes other than philosophy in this area but have a lot of experience from church in this subject area.
Social Studies Tutoring
I have been teaching social studies in the early childhood setting for 13 years. I have taken many social studies courses at Central Connecticut State University that I have received A's and B+ for. Teaching Social Studies is a passion for me and enjoy passing this interest of mine to students.
Math Tutoring
I have taught math for early childhood students for 13 years. I have experience tutoring elementary student's math for 10 years. I have received A's and high B's in all math instruction college level classes I have taken. I also teach stem curriculum at the school I work at giving me math experience. I enjoy making math a hands on enjoying experience to learn.
