Fun Facts

I enjoy fishing and teaching myself how to play different instruments by ear. I have learned how to play songs on the cello, guitar, piano, and blues harmonica. Although its a lot harder to teach myself I find It more entertaining to lean songs you want to play and develop skill as you go then to work on technique for years then learn how to play the same songs.

About Me

I am a pre-med student at FIU and have a 4.0 GPA. I have made the Dean’s list every semester and hope to earn a MD at UF. Last summer I worked for Blue missions, a nonprofit organization that provides clean water to rural communities in the Dominican Republic. As a leader, It was my responsibility to teach the highschool volunteers how to use certain tools and how to buld different structures while maintaining a safe work environment.

Experience

In my old highschool I would volunteer and tutor students in math and science course. I also have experience working for other tutoring companies in the past and have a lot experience explaining difficult material to students. I enjoy helping students learn about science and math subjects and take the time to ensure that my student completely understands a concept.

Approach

In math and science courses, many students find these subjects dull and boring. This boring connotation is the product of over complicated vocabulary words and explanations used in many text book taking the fun and excitement out of science. To help my students succeed, I teach them how to interpret what the text books are trying to say, explain the material in a story like fashion and make analogies so that the students can visualize and better understand the material.
