About Me
I am working as a chemical process engineer now in the Houston area. I am from Katy originally, went to college in DC, then moved back to Houston for work.
Experience
While in college, I tutored students in STEM programs in the DC area in math and science disciplines. I also worked at a high school in Houston one summer to help increase students' standardized test scores.
Approach
My approach is to first familiarize myself with the student and gain a level of understanding and comfortability, that way I will be better able to gauge their academic strengths and weaknesses. I, myself, as a visual learner so a lot of my techniques have to do with working problems out with the student and explaining as I go. Then I go back and have them reiterate the process to confirm their understanding.
