I love to do all of the things that my Swiss mother taught me to do, and well, even if ever so domestic, like cook, sew, can, garden, decorate etc. It is very nurturing I find.

About Me

I love people! I have this sense of a common humanity very strongly despite all of the divisive stuff around us. This translates into reaching out across all ostensible differences and embracing people for who they are. It also means being very accessible to my students. I am proud to be able to very much differentiate my instruction to likewise reach them.

Experience

I have 15 years as a restaurant business owner, very much mentoring and teaching in that capacity. Following, I have 10 years of instruction in a College Preparatory School teaching levels 1-4 AP and a good bit of tutoring (free) in that capacity as well as private tutoring and kid's cooking classes (freelance).

Approach

I am kind and patient in my approach. My students and I always arrive at our goals but through a mutual effort that tailors our learning to individual need and style. Lessons are infused with humor and real life relevance. Being bi-cultural as well as bi-lingual allows me to share of my experiences and introduce materials not always available to students. This is ultimately extremely rewarding for all involved!
