About Me

I am a freshman majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I just started college, but since I have AP credit from high school, I will be graduating a year early to pursue a career in the technology industry.

I taught and tutored kids at Arcadia Chinese school and at Temple City Chinese school. During the school year, I would meet students after school from 3pm to 8pm or later if they really needed help. I also tutored a couple kids on SAT Math and SAT II Math and they got a 800 which made me feel proud and accomplished. I hope that at Frog washington/washington/seattle">seattle">Tutoring, I could help and inspire students to reach their goals.

For me, I learn by people showing me how to do a problem rather than just listening to a lecture. Most of my friends just get bored as my teachers just lecture and read off the textbook. So when I started working at Arcadia Chinese School, I tried different methods with the students to see which way they learn the best. After I find out how a person learns, I go home and design a way that is both entertaining and educational for the students. I think that as kids get older, their attention spans are going to be far less than mine due to the advancement of technology. The most important thing to me is that in order for a person to learn, they have to be interested and active during the lessons rather than just listening to a person talk for an hour.
