Fun Facts

I've trained Parkour for the past 9 years of my life! (If you don't know what that is, YouTube Ninja Warrior and you'll get an idea). I love running, jumping climbing, crawling and generally moving around. I have a tiny dog named Rain who can run a nine billion miles per hour and I don't wear shoes when I walk her because that only seems fair.

About Me

I attended The Ohio State University where I earned Magna Cum Laude and two Bachelor's of Science degrees: One in science/connecticut/new-haven">Computer Science & Engineering and another in Economics. I worked as a Software Engineer in Washington DC for two years before I switched to tutoring full time. I am now a Professional tutor, that is, I don't do anything else but help kids become more confident and capable :)

Experience

I began tutoring for a World-Class firm called AphaPrep which services international students at exclusive private boarding schools around the world. My rates were extremely high and my students were very high profile, I wanted to world on my own methods. That why I founded my own company PowerKid to work with fewer students and focus more attention on each one.My company motto is "if it's good for the kid it's good for business"

Approach

I've worked with hundreds of students and I often find that students have gaps in their knowledge which could have been filled by a small investment in tutoring early on. I begin with fundamentals, and work upward, making sure that you (the student) develop full mastery over the early material before we move on. I use drills and repetition, and enjoy making up new problems on the spot. I also care deeply about my relationship with each student and endeavor to make each lesson fun :)
