Fun Facts
I love learning how to solve puzzles (i.e. rubix cubes) and learn card tricks. I've lived in four different countries and hope to expand that number as I continue my life journey. One time I ran a marathon without training and completed it in under 4 hours. It took me a week to learn to walk again.
About Me
I am a senior Economics major with a minor in philosophy and math. Often, I help tutor my peers pro bono. I am certified to teach the SAT and the ACT. My intention upon graduation is to either work for a major corporation or attend University of Boston-Amherst to work towards a Phd in economics.
Experience
I have previous experience as a volunteer coach for my old high school football team. In my professional experience, I have worked as a tutor for standardized tests. Moreover, while I worked for SolarCity I operated as a sales team manager. My role with the company was to instruct individuals how to perform their job.
Approach
Academic success did not come naturally to me. In the third grade I was held back. This hard experience inspired me to learn how to learn. My greatest strength as a tutor is guiding people to discover their most efficient method for learning. At first, math was the most stressful and confusing subject for me. That has enable me to be sympathetic and helpful when students experience similar vexations as I have.
