Fun Facts
I am Texas born and raised but I love to travel; I lived in Italy for 5 months and have been to Belgium, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Russia, Ukraine, and Mexico. Cultures fascinate me, I love people, and I always look forward to making new acquaintances.
About Me
I am a senior physics major with a concentration in mathematics, studying at the dallas">University of Dallas. I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in a Physics field after graduating in May. Ultimately, I would love to work in Applied Physics and perhaps teach upper level physics some day.
I have tutored science, especially math and physics, for about four years now, both privately and for the University. I am currently the president of the Society of Physics Students at the University and have been a teacher's assistant for general and advanced physics for both regular grading and lab work for over two years. I have also had personal research experiences in Colorado astronomy, in Russia working with the University of Moscow at the Crimean Observatory in Ukraine, and at the lawrence">Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, California.
My approach to dallas">tutoring centers around the mindset of the student; every human mind is unique in its method of perceiving, and therefore understanding, reality. Some people are kinematic learners, some are visual, some need to hear and some need to read. My first step is to recognize an individual student's process and mode of perception, and my second is to translate the material into a form that makes sense to their mindset.
