About Me
I am a recent graduate with degree of B.A. in Mathematic (Statistics concentration) at Boston University. I am also bilingual in Mandarin and English. I am thinking about taking a gap year before going to graduate school and I am exploring something interesting and meaningful for my gap year.
Experience
I am a member of Nation Society of Collegiate Scholars. I had a internship on BU campus last semester, which provided me great opportunities working with staff in global department who were delicate to international students. Also, I am volunteering for BU Pen Pal Program, which builds great connection between elementary students and college students. Last summer, I had an internship at Bank of East Asia in China, where I had great experience working with people from different departments.
Approach
I finished my high school in China. I was a transfer student so I was pretty struggle with my grades especially Math at the beginning. But I got so much help from a Math tutor and also he stimulated my interest in Math. I would love to offer some help in academic performance as well as stimulate people’s interest in Math. Also, I believe that tutoring is a perfect chance to meet new people, which I am always passionate about.

I am a native Mandarin speaker. Also, I am bilingual in both Chinese and English, which would help me when making conversations with my clients and help them improve in Mandarin speaking.
College Algebra Tutoring
I graduated from Boston University with degree of B.A in Mathematics and I am familiar with subjects in algebra such as linear equations, functions, sets, etc. I also had experience in touring this subject when I was in high school.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
I got straight As in all my calculus classes during my freshman and sophomore year in college. I believe that I would be able to prepare students well before they take calculus classes by getting them familiar with subjects such as logarithms, binomial theorem, polynomial function and so forth.
