Fun Facts

When I'm not working on academics I LOVE doing makeup. It's a huge passion of mine and I love expressing myself through it. I also love cooking! I try lots of different recipes I see online, and I love feeding those who I love (: I'm the oldest of 5 kids the youngest being only 2. I love helping people and I love making new connections!

About Me

I'm a senior at Our Lady of the Lake University, graduating in May of 2018. I'm studying psychology and music. I have already completed my first research proposal with a focus in Dementia and music therapy. After I receive my bachelor's degree, I am going to go to school for my master's degree in a LPC/LMFT dual track program. My ultimate goal is to obtain my doctorates in either Clinical Psychology or Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Experience

I have been competing in academic competitions since I was a child, I have excelled in many subjects such as math, writing, and as I got older, psychology. I have been tutoring on Care.com for over 2 years now and I tutor children in the YMCA when I worked as a Counselor there. I have worked with children with special needs as well and can cater to almost any need! I am also proficient at saxophone and piano and would love to give music lessons!

Approach

As a tutor I want to bring as much fun to the table as possible! I know that sometimes learning can be tedious and not fun but I think I have a good way of changing that! I am challenging in my tutoring sessions as well as fair and fun! I learn best through verbal and visual queues so I try to incorporate the same in my sessions!
