I love spending time with my family. Running is a passion of mine. I have written and published a book about the journey my husband took through cancer. I love speaking, writing and teaching.

About Me

I have been a teacher in a variety of different ways over the past 16 years. The past 2 years I worked as Learning Support Teacher for children struggling in math and reading. I also teach students in China English via the internet.

Experience

I am passionate about teaching and making learning fun with a very hands-on approach. I have my Master’s in Education, with a focus on Reading and Literacy. I have taught for over 12 years in kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Grade and as a reading and math specialist for the past 2 years. I am currently working as an online tutor for students in China. I hope to speak to you soon.

Approach

My approach to learning is very hands on. I also am very big on Howard Gardner's 8 Multiple Intelligences and the 8 different ways that children learn. I love to find their dominant intelligence and teach according to that.
