Fun Facts
While I am from the Washington D.C. area, I lived in the U.K. for 5 years while completing my undergraduate and MSc degrees. I loved my time living and traveling across Europe but am happy to be back home, finally pursuing what I am most passionate about!
About Me
I am a post-baccalaureate pre-medical student, with a bit of an unusual story: I have an M.A. in Economics and an MSc in Health Management but am in the process of applying to medical school! Given my background, I have a range of competencies and have developed a highly effective study strategy that I hope to share with you.
Experience
While completing my MSc in London, I worked as a homework tutor for children aged 5-13 years old. I also have two younger sisters in high school and middle school who I frequently help. The most valuable experience, however, has been studying so many different subjects - first as an Economics major, and now as a pre-med student! I have truly refined my study skills through a long process of trial and error and am eager to help students develop their own multidisciplinary study strategy.
Approach
I truly believe that teaching is the best way to learn. Explaining concepts out loud can help highlight areas of uncertainty where more review is needed, and help in seeing the "big picture." After going through questions together and reviewing concepts, I will allocate time at the end of each session for you to explain out loud what you have just learned. I will provide lesson summaries and outlines for your review at home.
