I find crafting to be so relaxing. I, like many others, lead a very busy life. Sometimes it is hard to find time to craft. The fact is, I love to craft, so this isn't a chore at all.

About Me

My interest in teaching comes from my own love of learning. I believe that a large part of my job as a teacher and mentor is to transmit this love of learning and to bring out the best in my students, challenging them to exceed their own expectations in the classroom. I want to teach mathematics and science because of the important role that mathematics and statistics play in our understanding of science and because math is the language in which virtually all media presents information.

Experience

I enjoy working with a student one-on-one. We know that every child develops on a different learning curve, which is why the tutoring process is so crucial. Working individually with a child can help them overcome some of the frustration and confusion that comes along with learning in a crowded classroom. I have a great amount of patience and understanding to help the child develop his own learning style and guide him to work through the problems at his own pace.

Approach

I love teaching in an environment where the student is made to feel comfortable and that their efforts are rewarded and appreciated. I like to provide my students with as many tools as possible to make sure they get the most thorough understanding of a particular concept. Often times I use hands-on materials, one-on-one settings, and technology based instruction. One person at a time helping one student at a time can make the difference.
