I am a voracious reader who enjoys creative writing, sci-fi and historical novels. I am bilingual in English and Amharic (and conversational in French). I love espresso, cats and dogs, crossword puzzles, hiking, yoga and traveling to new places.
About Me
I am a recent law school graduate who will take the Bar Exam in February. I plan on practicing in Washington, D.C. after I get my license. In the meantime, I tutor, work part time and study a lot.
Experience
As a second and third year law student, I've mentored several first year law students in an official capacity, part of which included guidance on effective studying skills. As part of the International Baccalaureate Program (IB) in high school, I tutored middle school students twice a week over the period of two years.
Approach
I'm a big believer in helping students understand the rationale behind the material they learn, so that they engage with it fully instead of just accepting it at face value. Such an approach helps students retain the material for longer and allows them to build on it as they move on to more challenging courses.

Further, as a law student, I became proficient in advanced legal writing and bluebook citation. I've written and submitted legal memoranda to both state and US District Courts.
