About Me
I recently graduated from George Mason University with a Master of Science in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. My final GPA encompassing my 4 semesters of graduate studies is 3.71. My current goals are to find part-time washington-dc">tutoring positions that allow me to keep my mind sharp and fresh on the relevant material, as well as helping to sustain myself financially.
My washington-dc">tutoring experience mostly consists of non-formal, non-paid work. Some of this extends to aiding roommates during undergraduate studies in the biological sciences, including nutrition and astronomy courses. After this, while I was studying for the MCATs and GREs, I often assisted my younger sister in her math and English assignments when needed. Most recently, I assisted fellow peers in understanding programming bioinformatic algorithms, as well as in biostatistics.
It is important to understand the strengths and weakness of each student. By analyzing previous tests/quizzes and supplementing with feedback from the students it is possible to find areas that need improvement. washington-dc">Tutoring time and style should be personalized and tailored to the individual. I believe that using this approach, coupled with immediate feedback towards any questions that might have, would best help students to understand troubled topics.
