Fun Facts
I am an aficionado of astrology, astronomy and tarot. My gift with numbers translates into an ability for math as well as remember birthdays. Literally, someone can tell me their birthday once and I will see them a year later and recall it either spot on or within a day. The planets in our solar system strongly affect energy and emotions so my passion for astrology lies less with superficial horoscopes and more with a deep curiosity to discover what makes different individuals tick.
About Me
I am a working actress, private tutor and ESL teacher. All three careers have blended beautifully and appeal to my innate desire to communicate, tell stories and help others. One of my goals in the future is to open up a creative arts school for children who have special gifts but cannot afford expensive classes. Working with children has always been a calling. My outlet for this expression ranges from tutoring to mentoring to playing a mom in a film or on stage.
Experience
For twenty years I have worked as a private tutor in both Los Angeles and New York City. While living in LA, I tutored over a hundred students both in public and private schools. My degree in drama and minor in child development at San Diego State has lead me to several paths which combine a keen quest for knowledge wrapped in a bundle of creativity and play. Ninety percent of my clients have come from referrals, and I believe it is equally important to connect with both parents and kids.
Approach
During my childhood I often lived in my imagination - acting, dance and music were my best friends. Many kids would make fun of me because I was so sensitive and somewhat awkward when it came to social "norms" or anything to do with fitting in. In fourth grade a wonderful teacher named Mr. Share encouraged my creativity, and because he believed in me I felt proud of my uniqueness. I now embrace each kids gifts...I fill them with YES and stress progress and growth over results. Patience and love.

Arts Tutoring
As a theater major and professional working actress and writer I have hands on experience in several facets of the arts. I have worked on numerous stages throughout the country and many network television shows and independent films. As a coach I have taught drama students, both for fun as well as work. My approach to learning is deeply embedded in creativity and innovation.
ESL Tutoring
I have taught international students from all over the world. My first foray into the world of ESL began at Loyola Marymount, where I worked with a dozen Brazilian students. We traveled to San Francisco for a week to culminate our lesson into a fun and practical setting. In 2014 I was hired by EC English in Los Angeles where I taught both Elementary and Advanced learners. When I moved to New York City in 2015 I transferred to EC New York where I still teach private lessons and have recently initiated a dramatic arts elective.
