Fun Facts
I have a great passion for teaching and learning. I am capable of doing many things but only because I have a large capacity to learn. Many people say I have a lot of talents but I would have to disagree. I believe I have an affinity for learning which allows me to pick up many skills along my life.
About Me
I am a junior studying in the major of biology with a specialization and minor of bioengineering. I hope to double major by the end of this semester in Applied Math and Statistics in order to broaden my field and learn about many subjects. I currently attend Stony Brook University as I major in these subjects and wish to be a teacher one day.
Experience
I have been tutoring four many years starting from my junior year in high school. After peer tutoring in high school I became a private tutor for multiple families in my area. Some specific areas I tutored in include SAT Prep/Math, Algebra 1 Common Core, and Geometry. I have also been an assistant teacher for middle school classes as well as early high school classes.
Approach
I always like to focus on the student. With my approach I look at the students learning style and tend to find the best way they learn. However they intake information will be the dominant way I teach them their lessons. I also like to observe each student and find their strengths and weaknesses. When I find out their weaknesses I find solutions for them to hep build upon them so they can work more efficiently.

Biology
Middle School Math Tutoring
I have taught many different levels of middle school and love to work with middle school students. When introducing students of this age to math of varying subjects and levels, it is important to take your time and go through the subjects carefully. Going through these maths are important as it lays down the foundation for high school. I am certain I am capable of teaching Middle School math and attending to the needs of a student as often as possible.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
Algebra is one of my favorite subjects in math. There is so much to learn and so much ground to cover because it becomes the basis of almost all other math subjects. I recognized this as I stepped into the field of engineering and am certain that my expertise can bring any student to a new level of math. I love to teach as well as tutor and am very patient. I always look for the students strengths and help them when they struggle. It is very important to me to see a student succeed and do their best in these subjects. Pre-Algebra is not a difficult subject, and with time I can make an amazing math student out of anyone.
Study Skills Tutoring
I have worked with multiple students in elementary school. I always love to work with younger students because it is a great way to build a foundation. In the past I have taught many students skills that will help them memorize their subject and reapply them in practical ways.
Regents Tutoring
I have prepared multiple high school students for various different regent exams. Some of these exams include Algebra 1 Common Core, Geometry, and Algebra 2. I am very adept when in comes to math related fields and have an Associates Degree in Engineering Science. I am quite certain I am capable of helping students grow in whatever area of math the need help in.
