- I have an amazing twin sister and a very close knit family
- I competed in the Junior Olympics in Track/Field and was captain of my high school robotics team that same year!
- I have lived in almost 4 different countries before I turned the age of 3

About Me

My name is Nathaniel Jones I am 25 years old and currently a fourth year medical student at Rutgers- Robert Wood Johnson Medical school currently applying to Pediatric Residencies. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Cultural Anthropology from Rutgers as well. I reside in the brunswick">New Brunswick area however I find myself traveling back and forth between NYC and here quite often. I am originally from washington-dc">Washington DC but raised mostly in Southern New Jersey, which makes me a jersey boy at heart.

I have mentored and taught high school children during my undergraduate years at Rutgers as part of the Bridges to Access Program. My lessons plans focused on understanding global health issues, project development and presentation skills. I also tutored Freshman and Sophomores in Biology at an undergraduate level.

For me I like to see the bigger picture first and then begin to break things down into smaller pieces that can eventually be used to construct a larger concept. I like to go slow with the basic information and then constantly integrate it as I progress through a lesson plan. I am a huge fan of using multimedia (youtube,power point, etc) to teach lessons, I never like to make a session boring as I am a firm believer in having fun while you learn!
