About Me
I am a full time student at the University of Texas at Arlington studying (CLIS) in German and Spanish for global competence. I have also acquired a minor in localization and translation. I received awards for excellency in the 4000 level German and for my volunteer work with the German Language Society at UTA. I co-owned a landscaping business with my brother for 10 years which I left in order to focus on my language studies.
Experience
I was a long-term guest educator for Northwest ISD. During this time, I taught Spanish. These classes where a month long in Eaton HS, and Byron Nelson HS.
Approach
My approach when it comes to language is to become immersed in that language. I believe that in order to learn a new language one must first hear it spoken frequently and memorize the vocabulary as early as possible. Second, one must understand the grammar. Finally, Speak it as often as you can in order to become efficient in the pronunciation of the target language. Learning languages is a great benefit in the long run and many employers are always looking for people who know a language.
