About Me

I am a high school mathematics teacher. This is my fifth year teaching! I have taught high school physics, algebra 1, algebra 2, and test preparation classes for the SAT and ACT. I have also taught middle school math and science and ESL to 7th graders in Chile. I am very proficient in Spanish as studied abroad in Spain in college and lived in Chile for a year and a half.

Experience

I have tutored since high school anyone from my younger brother to my students who need help outside of class. I love working one on one with students because it is an opportunity to learn the material better and give students confidence in their abilities!

Approach

As a child, I worked with my younger brother who greatly struggled in school. I found that I was very skilled at breaking things down into simpler parts that are easier to learn and put together. I found that breaking things down into steps into manageable parts especially in mathematics is very helpful for students and has allowed them to effectively tackle work on their own and to be successful!
