About Me
I am a student at the Georgia Institute of Technology studying biomedical engineering. I also attended Emory University, where I completed a biology degree with a minor in Spanish. After graduation, I hope to gain experience in the medical device industry, and eventually to become involved with healthcare public policy.
Experience
As a member of the National Honors Society in high school, I had the opportunity to tutor students at the local library. I enjoyed getting to know the students and being able to explain the material in a way that they would understand. Additionally, I previously mentored an elementary school student and taught her how to practice reading.
Approach
I have a holistic approach to learning. It is important for me to give attention to students' current status with the material before deciding how to help them. Also, I believe motivation is essential to excellent performance. At times, students need someone to encourage their ability to master the coursework, or to hold them accountable for reaching their study goals. I help students understand the structure of information so that it becomes simpler to apply.

Physics I Tutoring
In high school, I was enrolled in AP Physics B which corresponds to Physics I at the college level. I completed the Physics I course at University of Arkansas and received an A.
Physics II Tutoring
In high school, I was enrolled in Physics C which corresponds to Physics II at the college level. I completed the Physics II course at Emory University and received an A. I also completed a circuits course at Georgia Institute of Technology which largely built off of the concepts of electricity introduced in Physics II.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
I am proficient in all engineering prerequisite mathematics, including calculus I, II, and III, linear algebra, and differential equations. Therefore, I am well-equipped with knowledge of pre-calculus.
Spanish I Tutoring
I completed Spanish I in high school and was enrolled in advanced level Spanish courses at Emory for three years, including during a six-week study abroad program in Spain. In total, I studied Spanish for seven years.

Study Skills Tutoring
I have been in college for five years now and I have developed an approach that works for any course. It's less about how "smart" you are, and more about how organized you can be. I have also had an academic coach for a few semesters and am able to share their approach to learning.
