I am vey passionate about running. I love to run indoors and outdoors! I enjoy reading mysterious and suspenseful books. I have an extremely caring older sister and two loving parents. I love to spend quality time with my family when I have the opportunity. I can't wait to receive my master's degree at NYU!
About Me
I am a Graduate Student at New York University. I am an aspiring Speech Language Pathologist. I graduated magna cum laude from Pennsylvania State University as a communication science and disorders major. My ultimate goal is to become a Speech Language Pathologist in New York City.
Experience
I worked as a clinician at Lindamoodbell Learning Processes center for 3 summers in a row. In this program, my responsibility was to tutor children one-on-one in reading, reading comprehension, and math. I gained a lot of tutoring experience from this job. I was also extremely motivated to help children improve their skills!
Approach
Since I was in middle school, I always knew that I wanted to work a job that involved improving the lives of individuals. For the past three summers, I tutored children that struggled in reading and math, and found it extremely rewarding and motivating to see my clients accomplish amazing progress throughout our time spent together.

MastersHomework Coach Tutoring
Completing all assignments in school is extremely important to me. I feel that in order to succeed in your courses, homework needs to be taken seriously. At Lindamoodbell Learning and Processes Center, my clients would bring in their summer reading assignments. We would read aloud together and efficiently complete the assignments, so the client would prepared for class discussions and exams based off the novel.
Math Tutoring
Throughout grade school, math was always one of my stronger subjects. I was in the advanced math course, which meant that I was one year ahead of the peers in my grade. Additionally, I tutored children in math at Lindamoodbell Learning and Processing Center. I was one of the only employees that were able to tutor math; therefore, I would tutor for several hours each day. I consistently worked with one child that was in 7th grade.
Middle School Math Tutoring
Throughout grade school, math was always one of my stronger subjects. I was in the advanced math course, which meant that I was one year ahead of the peers in my grade. Additionally, I tutored children in math at Lindamoodbell Learning and Processing Center. Study Skills Tutoring
Although my major was relatively challenging, I received a 3.9 cumulative GPA. I received my high GPA from my efficient studying skills. For each subject, I would take thorough notes, which would allow me to create a study guide prior to every exam. My classmates would always ask me to provide them with my study guides because they found them extremely detailed and organized, which allowed them to feel prepared for our assessments.

For three summers in a row, I worked at a tutoring center in New York City called Lindamoodbell Learning Processes Center. I would tutor children and adults in reading and reading comprehension. We stressed the importance of visualizing the letters and sentences, which allowed the client to improve his/her skills.
