Fun Facts

I have a passion for books. I had started a mini library in my room while growing up. The collection of books that I have now has almost tripled. I have several bookcases in my home. I am constantly donating books. I am also constantly gaining more books. I have a kindle and use it, but I also like the feel of paper books.

About Me

I have graduated Cum Laude from New Jersey City University. I have two bachelor degrees; English and Secondary Education. I am currently attending the University of Texas at Arlington, and I am enrolled in the Master’s Program Education Leadership and Policy. I am currently an English teacher at the middle and high school level.
I started tutoring in high school. I tutored through several programs; South Asian Youth Action(SAYA), Mid-Bronx Senior Citizen Council, SCAN, Champion Learning and the Harlem Children Zone. I began tutoring through the Summer Youth program, they put me in the agencies of Scan and Mid-Bronx, and these agencies offered homework help through the New York City schools. SAYA was based in Queens, NY and I worked primarily with students from South Asian countries. While there, I tutored in reading-comprehension/texas/fort-worth">reading comprehension, and overall homework help. The next program Harlem Children Zone providing elementary students with homework help and test prep. The last program I worked in as a tutor was Champion a program that worked with the New York Board of Education that provides in home tutoring. In this program I tutored students from elementary school through high school. I focused on test prep for both grades. But, with the high school student we focused on the regents’ exams and her SAT's.
