Fun Facts
I have a special love for all things watermelon! I have all kinds of watermelon bags/purses, clothing, decor, and so forth. I also love kitty cats, even though I was very apprehensive around cats until I was 15 years old. I also love for my electronics to be the color red, and cooking is something that I need a lot of practice at!
About Me
I am a first year law student at Delaware Law School of Widener University. I graduated with my AA in May of 2012, before graduating as Valedictorian of my high school class that same June. I received my Bachelor's in Elementary Education from the central-florida">University of Central Florida, and I was on the President's list 3 out of 4 semesters. My goal as a lawyer is to work with public interest law, paving the way for change for those that are underprivileged.
Experience
I received over 150 volunteer hours from working in elementary classrooms while I was in high school. I interned in 3rd and 5th grade classrooms while in college, and did many hours of observing. After graduating from college, as a certified teacher I taught kindergarten in the Florida public school system for one year, and then spent the following year d privately tutoring nonverbal students with Autism. I am certified in the state of Florida in Elementary Education, Reading, and ESOL.
Approach
As both a teacher and a tutor, I believe in using a method that works for the particular student. This is done with differentiation, as well as creating personal relationships with each and every student to find the best approach for their success. I feel that guidance, support, practice and structure are the most important aspects of success.
