Did lot of stuff in high school and college.
High school - student government, honor society, track (inddor/outdoor), xc, and robotics.
College - student government, TA, RA, FYS, math clubs, and fraternity. Initialized to honor society for math, engineering, and greek life.

I tried little of everything...willing to mentor and teach others. Free advice, you have nothing to lose try everything you can. No one cares or will ask about your school report card just get the experience.
