As a southern California native, I love to jog and hike along beaches! There's also nothing like playing with my golden retriever to relieve all my stress! I love to explore new restaurants and try cuisines from all over the world.
About Me
I am currently a senior at NYU studying Psychology, Business Studies and East Asian Studies with a concentration in Pre-Medicine. I am also doing neuropsychology research involving intracranial electroencephalography (iEEG) at the NYU Tisch Hospital. I plan to attend medical school and one day become a reconstructive surgeon.
I have been manhattan">tutoring since I was 14 and have taught students from grades K-12. My manhattan">tutoring experience includes both in-home private manhattan">tutoring and small group manhattan">tutoring. Having just taken the MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) I am extremely well-versed in all math and science subjects.
My manhattan">tutoring approach is to always focus on the needs of each specific student. Each student will require a different and unique learning strategy that will be most effective for them. Therefore, I stress the importance of molding my teaching methods to complement their needs. This includes the speed at which information is taught as well as my method of explaining concepts. I also focus on establishing a strong foundation for a subject so the students are not just completing their homework but more importantly, understanding the step-by-step of how each problem is solved. Not only do I help students with specific subjects but I also strive to perfect their work ethics and study habits (ie. note taking, annotating tips, time management, etc.) I will guide the students to solutions so they can learn proactively and strongly encourage questions! My ultimate goal is for my students to feel extremely comfortable with each specific subject and to retain this confidence throughout their entire academic career.
