About Me
I went to school at Georgia State University and graduated in May 2013 with my undergraduate degree in Cognitive Neuroscience with a concentration in Psycholinguistics and a minor in French. I am planning on taking a couple years off to get my research published before going to graduate school for a Ph.D. I have won numerous awards for my research including the Center for Behavioral Neuroscience award and multiple Language and Literacy Fellowships. I have served as President of the GSU French Club.
My atlanta">tutoring experience consists mostly of informal aid to classmates and structured aid to struggling students through the Student Alumni Association. I also tutored extensively in high school with an average client base of about 10 students.
My atlanta">tutoring approach stems from my belief in the individual differences that make each student unique. One student will not learn the same way as any other student. I strive to use my knowledge of cognition and learning types to implement that belief in practice. As a atlanta">tutor, it is my role to help the student discover how she or he best learns and to help them use that knowledge for a lifetime of success.
