Fun Facts

My biggest obsession is with dogs-big, small, fluffy-I love them all! I also adore traveling and attending music festivals. I played softball for ten years, and did travel ball for five. I moved from a small town in Maryland to New Orleans for college and I've fallen in love with this vibrant city! I pride myself on my compassion, empathy, and intrinsic motivation. I absolutely love working with children, seeing the smiles on their faces. I also have a soft spot for adult coloring books.

About Me

I am a freshman at Tulane University, currently undecided, but exploring a double major in psychology and business. In high school, I was a member of National Honor Society, an AP Scholar with Distinction, and received the Governor of Maryland's Merit Scholastic Award for being in the top 5% of my class. I took 10 AP classes, receiving A's in all of them, giving me a broad range of skills. My career path is undetermined, but I want to do something that has a lasting impact on someone's life!

Experience

I worked for 2 years at a local recreation center at summer camp and an after school program with kids. I also umpired recreational softball. As a member of National Honor Society, I tutored peers and participated in service projects. In high school, I provided a supportive environment for students as a peer facilitator. I mentored an elementary school student for two years, helping with math and reading. I believe working for Frog Tutoring will allow me to use my skills to help students!

Approach

Growing up, I was fortunate enough to be someone that academic success came easy to. In high school, though, I wanted more of a challenge so I took 10 AP classes in various subjects. I was very intrinsically motivated to work hard in order to achieve. However, I understand that that's not the case for everyone, and some people need a little extra encouragement and support to succeed. I'm prepared to be a patient, guiding hand, helping students to reach their full potential.
