About Me
Hi, I'm Austin! I am a sophomore majoring in Economics with a minor in Finance at TCU and a member of the John V. Roach Honors College. I am a National Merit Commended Scholar. When I graduate, I hope to earn my Masters in Economics. My ultimate goal is to become a market research analyst or a financial analyst.
Experience
I have 3 years of experience from tutoring various subjects in high school and now at TCU. I've tutored several students in micro and macro economics. At TCU, I've taken introductory and intermediate micro and macroeconomics, so I am well equipped to tutor any student needing assistance in economics. I have also tutored several students in test preparation for the ACT and SAT. I scored a 34 on the ACT and a 1510 on the SAT based on the new scale.
Approach
When I tutor students, I try to let the student guide the lesson. I want to ensure the student benefits as much as possible from every tutoring session. I use a combination of lesson plans and practice sets to maximize the success of the students. I strive to benefit the student as much as possible, therefore I welcome any suggestions or resources a student may prefer to utilize. I try to tailor my tutoring sessions to the specific student as much as possible.

Economics
Macro Economics Tutoring
I took AP Macro Economics in high school, and took the course again at TCU. I received a B+ in the course at TCU. On the final exam I received a 93, and I received a 100 on the final paper. I tutored two other students in my class. Both of them saw their test scores improve an entire letter grade after only a few weeks of tutoring.
Micro-Economics Tutoring
I took into to micro-economics my first semester at TCU. I received an 88 in the class, and a 90 on the final exam. I tutored three students in this class over the course of the semester, and all saw their test scores improve by at least ten points after tutoring.
Economics Tutoring
I took Macro-economics in high school and at TCU, and took micro-economics at TCU. I am an economics major at TCU, and believe I could be a great tutor for a high school student.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
I received all A's in Pre-calc in high school, and passed the Calculus BC test my senior year. I have continued my advancement in calculus at TCU, and I believe I could effectively tutor a student in Pre-calc
SAT Math Tutoring
I scored in the 97th percentile on the Math portion of the SAT with a 730/800. I also received extensive SAT tutoring in high school, and I could pass on the lessons I learned to younger students.
SAT Verbal/Writing Tutoring
I scored in the 98th percentile on the Reading portion of the SAT with a 720/800. I also received extensive SAT tutoring in high school, and I could pass on the lessons I learned to younger students.
ACT English Tutoring
I received extensive tutoring for the ACT in high school. I scored a 35 on the English portion of the test, and I believe I could translate the lessons I was taught to other students.
ACT Math Tutoring
I received extensive tutoring for the ACT in high school. I scored a 33 on the Math portion of the test, and I believe I could translate the lessons I was taught to other students.
ACT Reading Tutoring
I received extensive tutoring for the ACT in high school. I scored a 34 on the Reading portion of the test, and I believe I could translate the lessons I was taught to other students.
ACT Science Tutoring
I received extensive tutoring for the ACT in high school. I scored a 34 on the Science portion of the test, and I believe I could translate the lessons I was taught to other students.
PSAT Tutoring
I received extensive tutoring for the PSAT in high school. I scored a 1410 out of 1520 on the test. I was recognized as a National Merit Commended Scholar. I believe I could translate the lessons I was taught to other students.
Economics Tutoring
I have taken Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, and Contending Perspectives in Economics. I received an A- in every class
