About Me
I'm a retired NYC school teacher with over 18 years of service teaching grades K through five. I enjoy teaching and watching others learn.
Experience
I have over 18 years of teaching elementary school students and continue to tutor after school students today.
Approach
I find that taking it slow in approaching a difficult subject is the best. To make the child feel comfortable in the learning process and to compliment each step learned.

I have taught reading and writing to many students that are new to the English language. I lead an English conversation classes for adults at the Queens library several times a week.
Elementary Math Tutoring
I taught math in grades k to 5 and continue to tutor students in an after school program.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have taught reading comprehension in the areas of fact and opinion, main idea, summarizing to grades k to 5.
Writing Tutoring
I have taught writing skills in grades k to 5 that include grammar, spelling, penmanship and being concise.
