Adobe Photoshop Tutoring

I have personally taught myself how to properly use Adobe Photoshop. I have used it with editing assignments, videos, photos, internet documents, and editing other graphics.

English Tutoring

I have taken all introductory courses that are mandatory as a undergraduate. Prior to this, I was in honors English and Advanced Placement English during high school. Additionally, I have tutored primarily in English related subjects, such as writing help, essay writing, and reading comprehension.

Graduate Level Writing Tutoring

As an undergraduate, several college peers noticed my ability to write and articulate grammar, leading to tutoring graduate students in subjects they struggled with. Being able to tutor and help those at a higher level than me further advanced my own learning process and ability to teach.

I have taken several courses related to literature, in addition to courses where literature was a requirement (such as English 101 and 102, Honors English, Advanced Writing).

Political Science Tutoring

I have taken several undergraduate courses in Political Science, as my minor degree is in Legal Studies. I took Introduction to the Legal Process, Constitutional Law, and The Judiciary. Additionally, I was a member of the Skadden Arps Program in Legal Studies, a fast paced program designed for those with an interest in law.

Psychology Tutoring

Psychology is the major degree that I have graduated with. All the psychology courses I have taken were writing intensive, with multiple essays and writing projects due throughout every semester. This provided me with the ability to maintain focus in what I love: literature and grammar.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring

I have been able to teach all my tutoring clients how to absorb information and properly understand what they are being taught. All the writing intensive classes I have taken have required me, as a student, to learn reading comprehension and understand each literature piece taught.

While in high school I took Advanced Placement English and writing classes. At the time, this truly helped me in the process of becoming a tutor. It allowed me to see if I could handle higher level courses and taught me proper study habits.

I have taken multiple history courses during high school and college. I am very well-versed in Egyptian history, modern history, The Civil War, The American Revolution, to name a few. Additionally, I have received all top marks in each course.

Homework Coach Tutoring

While tutoring for all individuals, I have developed methods to help my students learn proper study habits and retain important information. Learning these methods and applying them during sessions is an additional quality that all tutors should possess when helping others.

SAT Verbal/Writing Tutoring

I scored very highly on the SAT reading/writing section and have tutored many students and individuals to help them achieve high scores on this standardized test.

Similar to history, social studies tends to cover a wide variety of other topics, such as archeology, anthropology, social sciences, and humanities. While primarily taken during high school, I have taken a large amount of courses that are covered under the area of social studies, such as history courses and anthropology courses.

ACT English Tutoring

Similar to the SAT standardized test, the ACT can be approached using specific study methods. I have also tutored students for this exam.

Specializing in reading and writing, I am able to help those that I tutor learn how to properly understand, comprehend, and maintain the information being given to them. Helping students learn their individual strengths for this exam is a core focus when tutoring.

Regents Tutoring

Having taken multiple regents in high school (math, science, and english!) I am well qualified in being able to properly explain the proper studying methods for achieving a high score on this exam.

I am self taught in all computer applications that are listed. With Adobe Flash, I can teach viewing multimedia, executing various applications, and properly steam videos on multiple platforms.

HTML Tutoring

I am self taught in all computer applications that are listed. With HTML, web pages can be created with specific coding for many different computer applications. This is a much more advanced process and takes time to learn.

Macintosh Tutoring

I have been using Mac/Apple products for year now, and am extremely proficient in all aspects that are supplied on the software. I am able to teach all applications listed using any Apple product.

Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Windows, and Word have become the go-to way to for reading, writing, literature, and language classes to require essays and assignments be submitted. I am an expert in all these systems and am able to teach all my students how to use it to their advantage.
