About Me

I am a sixth-year teacher Elementary teacher, and I have over ten years experience in tutoring. I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd-Grade, 3rd-Grade, and 4th-Grade. My experience in different elementary grade levels was intentional with the purpose to get experience with all content and standards in order to maximize my teacher effectiveness. I have proven success with students making tremendous academic gains in Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies.

Experience

I have experience with Eureka Math, Expeditionary Learning, Common Core Standards, Standards for Mathematical Practices, Bloom's Taxonomy, Webb's Depth of Knowledge, and many more teaching and learning strategies.

Approach

I want students to want to learn! My approach is an approach that builds students motivation and confidence. I do this by recognizing students' strengths and use them to help students understand content. I make learning relevant to students lives and interests and allow them to use their creativity to learn.
