I love English and Literature. I have such a passion for it and I love helping others gain a better understanding of it. I also love animals, any type of animal is amazing to me.
About Me
I am in my third semester at Reedley College. At Reedley College, I am working towards obtaining an English Degree, then transferring to CSU Fresno in order to continue my education. I plan on becoming an educator.
Experience
I currently work at my college as an English tutor. I love my job, seeing as it combines two of my favorite things; English and helping others. I work with a variety of different individuals who differ in their understanding or interest in English.
Approach
I am a strong believer that positivity can go a long way when it comes to helping those who have difficulty with a subject. Although it is important to point out areas in which they need improvement, I believe it is just as important to point out ways in which they are doing well. If they are able to see that they are getting better and understanding some aspects then it will propel them to continue their education without feeling discouraged.

English
English Tutoring
I have taken multiple English courses: English 1A, Engish 3, English 1B, English 15, English 43. I have also helped students who were in lower level English courses.
ESL Tutoring
I have aided students at the college level who are in ESL programs or are in lower level English classes. I am also able to provide an environment where they are able to work and learn without fear or embarrassment.
History Tutoring
I have taken a History 11 course. I have also helped students who have taken higher level history courses.
Literature Tutoring
I have taken an English 1B class where the main focus was analyzing pieces of Literature. I am also very intrigued with Literature, both classic and modern, seeing as I am an English major.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have an excellent understanding of the English language. I am also able to rephrase difficult concepts in a way that will allow a student to grasp a better understanding of it.
Writing Tutoring
As an English major, I love writing. I have taken multiple English courses that have allowed me to become a better writer myself. Writing is also a hobby of mine as well as something I do academically.
AP English Tutoring
I am currently in college and would able to provide aid to students who are in AP English classes.
Study Skills Tutoring
As a college student, I have had to learn to manage my time and find a way that is best for me in terms of study habits. I am extremely organized and efficient and I would be able to help others do the same.
Math Tutoring
Elementary level math is a subject that I have helped multiple students with. I am able to rephrase things in a way that the student is able to understand. I have also taken college-level courses that ensure that I have an understanding of math concepts.
Science Tutoring
I have helped many students with science classes, both at college-level and elementary-level. I have a clear understanding of topics discussed in science classes. I am also able to help students understand what is being asked/ demonstrated.
