Fun Facts
One thing that I really do love is karaoke! I love to sing many songs at open mic nights. I love singing Celine Dion the most. Although I'm not that good at it, it's something I enjoy doing. Whenever I have down time, I like playing video games. One thing I hope to more of is travel.
About Me
My name is Jeffery, and I love Math. Not only because of the countless laughs I've got from the one liner Math jokes at amateur comedy night, also because I have a passion of doing it, learning it, and teaching it. I have worked as a tutor and have over a decade of experience. Throughout my time as a tutor, I have had chances to work with a wide range of students, meeting a variety of goals. Some of my students are gifted as well as special needs.
Experience
In high school, I had the opportunity to tutor students bi-weekly in Geometry and Algebra starting my junior year in high school. Upon entering college at North Park, I tutored college students in their respective Math classes. Since then, I tutor students at a center and I work as a teaching assistant at Chicago Public Schools.
Approach
When I was growing up, there was a good portion of the teachers I had who were impatient, unsympathetic, and flat out, did not care. When I became a tutor, I made sure to not follow in my former teachers footsteps, so I had a new approach to working with my students. Every student I work with, I always do my best to be encouraging, friendly, patient, and understanding.

Mathematics
Calculus I Tutoring
I have taken Calculus courses in both high school as well as college. I can help you if you are starting with derivatives, definite and indefinite integrals, limits, finding the region bounded by curves, multiple integrals, surface integrals and so much more.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
I took this course in high school and got an A-. In college, I also took Calculus 1, 2, and 3 and received high marks so my math knowledge on Pre Calculus is extensive.
Trigonometry Tutoring
I took Trigonometry in high school and I currently tutor it. I love to explain the topic of functions, graphs, angles, and triangles!
Algebra Tutoring
I took Algebra in middle school and received an A+. I also have experience tutoring Algebra. When I did my student teaching in River Grove, I taught a class of freshmen and sophomores the subject.
Algebra II Tutoring
In middle school, I took Algebra 2 and received a high grade in the class. I also have experience tutoring Algebra 2 as well.
Geometry Tutoring
When I did my student teaching in River Grove, I taught five class to freshmen and sophomores, Geometry being two of the classes. I took the class in high school and received an A. I currently tutor it as well.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
When I took Prealgebra, I received a high grade on it. I also tutor it as well.
ACT Math Tutoring
I currently teach ACT Math concepts at Huntington Learning center. Not just concepts, but how to prepare for said ACT Math test, what kind of questions to look out for, as well as study skills. I'm also a master with whatever calculator you choose to use for the test.
SAT Math Tutoring
I currently teach SAT Math concepts at Huntington Learning center. Not just concepts, but how to prepare for said SAT Math test, the types of questions to look out for, as well as study skills. I'm also a master with whatever calculator you choose to use for the test.
