About Me

I go to the University of Utah and am studying metallurgical engineering. I am a freshman and have yet to receive my first grade report. I plan on going on to graduate school. I am patient and kind and I love to see students learn, grow, and achieve their goals.

I display leadership because I am an Eagle Scout, a soccer team captain, and am currently pledging a fraternity. I have tutoring experience primarily in Algebra Pre-Calculus and Calculus. I Aced the ACT reading-comprehension/utah/salt-lake-city">reading comprehension section two times and got a 34 on math/utah/salt-lake-city">ACT math. In the past i have college students but want to tutor younger students as well.

I like to let students attempt to solve problems through their own methods, because i believe that allows students to learn to problem solve first, and memorize methods and formulas second. I will then usually ask the students questions to help them help themselves solve the problem. Finally I give the students hints that lead them to realize what they are doing wrong or what they need to solve the problem. I rarely every give a student an answer.
