Fun Facts
I am a (presently unsuccessful) author of three books, and I intend to write more. I'm also a film critic for the site Ruthless Reviews: www.ruthlessreviews.com. I'm also a long-time political activist.
About Me
I am a graduate student working on completing my Master's in History at San Jose State University. I have a BA in Political Science from Reed College, and a Juris Doctor from Lewis and Clark College. I have worked for several years as a paralegal. My ultimate goal is to write and publish more books, and to seek tenure at a University.
Experience
I have worked for EF China as an English teacher, teaching English to non-english speakers. Frog Tutoring is a means to hone my pedagogical skills while I work on my thesis.
Approach
As an educator, I believe the key is to find a way to align the student's interests with the subject matter, and to understand the student's own interests to find a topic that engages them. I am a lecturer and a presenter, who views lessons as being a little bit like stand-up: teaching needs to be entertaining.

I've completed a thesis paper for my BA, as well as 'A' and 'B' papers for graduating law school. I've written a few seminar papers. I'm also a published poet and film critic. As a paralegal I've drafted pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.

I had a role in drafting measure J for the San Benito Rising Group. Most recently I've served as treasurer of the San Benito Democratic Party.
