In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, reading, hanging out at book stores and hanging out with friends.
I love traveling and getting to know new cultures and people. So far i've traveled to over 30 countries.

During the winter season, I enjoy snowboarding with my family and friends. I have a huge family with 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

About Me

I recently completed my bachelor degree in Economics from washington-university">George washington-university">Washington University. I’m enrolled for further course work in order to acquire more skills in finance while interning at Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC).
I hope with the right skill set, leadership, and knowledge, I would have the tools to follow my passion to promote higher standard of living and economic health in the developing world especially, for women and children.

I've had many experiences working with children - from volunteering opportunities in Liberia and Ethiopia, to washington-dc">tutoring my own younger siblings in America. My extensive teaching/washington-dc">tutoring experience was when I volunteered in Ethiopia for two summers where I did the following:

• Taught children, ages three to fourteen, English language skills and American culture
• Translated and facilitated communication between American staff and children
• Created after school programs/clubs for children requiring extra help

washington-dc">Tutoring Method: When I first start washington-dc">tutoring new students, I try to get to know their strengths and weaknesses so I could leverage on their strong skill-sets when I'm presenting a new lesson/material. I'm a firm believer that it's important to motivate the student by celebrating their strong points/strengths while providing a constructive criticism. From my previous experiences, being patient and keeping a positive tone during the washington-dc">tutoring session is an important factor to really help a student understand the material.

I think washington-dc">tutoring is a very rewarding experience and this is mainly why I wanted to start washington-dc">tutoring.
