Fun Facts
As the second oldest of seven, tutoring is something that comes natural to me as I have been doing it for as long as I can remember. Although I'm not very good at it, I love to dance and sing. I consider myself a jokester and very funny :)
About Me
I am a junior at SDSU studying biology as a Pre-Dental student. When I graduate, I hope to attend dental school somewhere in Texas.
Experience
As a peer mentor, I tutor many of my peers even. I always say that the best way to learn is by teaching, so I always have my students teach me whatever they have learned. In highschool, I volunteered at the local Elementary school tutoring children in just about every subject.
Approach
As a child, I never considered myself insanely smart, and always thought it was more important to be well-rounded. As I have gotten older, I have learned that it is easy to do both, as long as you keep your mind set for the goal at hand. I now consider myself very smart, and well-rounded, as I involve myself with just about anything that interests me. I also have many study skills that I have learned throughout the years, which I think is a very important part of our schooling system.
