About Me
My name is Jenny Li and I am a first year Biomedical Engineering master student at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I also obtained my B.S degree in Bioengineering with minor in Mathematics from UCLA in June 2011. My career goal is to become a professor in Biomedical Engineering or start my own biotechnology company.
I have tutoring experiences in variety subjects, such as chemistry, physics, mathematics at elementary, middle, high school and university levels. I was a volunteering tutor at Temple City tutoring elementary and middle school students after class for science and mathematics subject . I was also a member as well as a tutor at Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society for college level chemistry, physics and mathematics.
My tutoring approach will be: first, I would like to discover what concepts my student has difficulty understanding. Next, I would begin at their level of understanding and explain the basic concepts by using examples to ensure his or her understanding. Thirdly, I would create similar questions/examples, with some alterations, and ask the student to solve them. This method assures that the student fully understand the concept, and also help improve their problem solving skills.
