Fun Facts
Two of my favorite sports are tennis and bowling. In fact, I participated in a junior bowling league as a child, and played high school tennis. I also enjoy daily meditation and jogging.
About Me
I am pursuing a PhD in Gender Studies.
Experience
I have taught introductory college courses for the past 5 years. Most of my experience is working with first-generation college students. I am mostly comfortable tutoring for Social Studies, History, Political Science, Government, and English/Literature.
Approach
As a pedagogical tool, I prefer integrating the student's non-academic interests into their learning, which helps enhance their educational outcome. I also enjoy working with students who do not feel that they have the "smarts" to do well in school.
