About Me
I recently resigned from my teaching job to pursue another passion in science/indiana/indianapolis">Computer Science. I think tutoring will offer the perfect opportunity for me to use my experience as a classroom teacher to continue working with students.
Experience
I graduated from Miami University in Oxford with a degree in Secondary Math Education. I taught math at the high school level for five years. Before that I worked at the tutoring center when I was in college and I also taught an ACT/SAT math prep course.
Approach
I have a kind and patient approach centered on discovery learning where I ask thoughtful questions to help students navigate through problems on their own rather than simply telling them what to do. It is important to me that I help students develop a fearless approach to problem solving.
