About Me
I moved to Indianapolis to attend graduate school at Butler University. I have have two degrees from Purdue - one in English Education and one in Creative Writing. I currently teach for Indianapolis Public Schools. I also teach for Butler, and work on a well-known literary magazine.
In high school, I was selected as a National Merit Scholar and a Coca-Cola Scholar. My 4.0 graduate GPA demonstrates a continued commitment to academic success.
I've been teaching English for years. In addition, I tutored all through college. I've done a great deal homework coaching, academic indianapolis">tutoring, and English as a Second Language indianapolis">tutoring.
I believe in a heavily student-centered approach, where my role is essentially to facilitate the student's knowledge acquisition and skill set-enhancement. I don't believe my job is to simply blather answers and formulas for success. Rather, I work to assist my students arrive at these insights for themselves.
