Fun Facts

One passion people quickly learn about me is that I love soccer and lifting. If you don't find me studying or working on my own projects, you can catch me at the gym or on the field. I have a younger sister and love to travel. Ask me where I've been and how it was, and I'd love to tell you all about it. Some day soon, I hope to build my own car; buy a base model and modified it.

About Me

I am a junior Physics major at Illinois Institute of Technology, being involved as an assistant to a Ph.D in Physics candidate's research. My plan after graduation is to earn my Masters in Physics at either Stanford, CalTech, or MIT. My ultimate goal is to have my own start up in nuclear energy.

Experience

As a member of Society of Physics Students and a part of a small-medium sized school, I had the opportunity to tutor students after class in Physics and Calculus since freshman year in college. I was quickly asked by my high school counselor to help students out with Physics in my spare time on weekends at the library.

Approach

As a child, I struggled in school when listening to the teacher as they demonstrated techniques and examples to the entire class. It came clear to my parents that one on ones were allowed me to grasp topics much faster and more efficiently by focusing on the parts I couldn't understand. As a tutor, I attempt to bring this attitude to all my sessions. Instead of giving the students answers, I show them how to think about the problem on a basic level, and then showing them how the math is derived.
