About Me

I am a graduate student at maryland/towson">towson-university">maryland/towson">Towson University earning my Master's of Science in Forensic Science. My anticipated graduation date is May 2013 and after graduation I plan to work for a crime lab with either the Maryland State Police or the maryland/baltimore">Baltimore County Police Department. I graduated from washington-college">Washington College in May 2010 with a BS in Biology and I also minored in Chemistry.

For two years, I was a peer maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor at washington-college">Washington College and helped students having difficulty with general content and laboratory skills in General Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Cell Biology. I evaluated the students study habits and prepared them for exams and quizzes. I was also an activity instructor for an after school program in Queen Anne's County. I assisted students (K-8th grade) with homework and supervised them during a planned activity.

Individualization is key for successful maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring. I believe that no student learns in the same way as another, so I prepare my maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring sessions based on the needs of the individual student. I often use visual aids, powerpoints, and flashcards to aid in the learning of the student depending on his or her needs.
